Your adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m), where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and traditional Berber villages scattered along the road. The first major stop is at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco’s most iconic ksar, famous for its earthen clay architecture and its role as a backdrop in many films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, the journey continues through Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” before heading to the lush Valley of Roses and finally the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night in a charming riad or kasbah overlooking the gorge.

After breakfast, you’ll travel along the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs, passing picturesque Berber villages and palm groves. A highlight of the day is the Todra Gorge, an impressive canyon with towering cliffs reaching up to 300 meters, ideal for a refreshing walk by the river.
The route then takes you to Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert gateway. By the afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga, where your camel caravan awaits. Riding across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The evening is spent in a traditional desert camp under the starry sky, with Berber music and a delicious dinner around the campfire.

Wake up early to admire the magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast at the camp. After a camel ride or 4x4 transfer back to the village, the journey back to Marrakech begins. You’ll cross the Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and fortified ksours, then retrace your path through Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.
