The Ziz Valley is a good opportunity for people who love to sleep in the desert camps under the stars and watch Berber folk music songs. As it is another way of life, and where you can see Berber apes on the trees, enjoy an oasis of green palm trees, beautiful landscapes, and authentic Berber villages.

2 days desert excursion from Fes itinerary

Day 1: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Our private excrsion ustarts with a drive toward the Atlas Mountains. Where we’ll stop to see the villages of Azrou and Ifrane. And have the opportunity to explore the well-known cedar forest. Which is home to the Berber apes.

From there, we’ll proceed to Midelt, passing through the Ziz Gorge and the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass (here we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea).

After that, we’ll pass through the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani before arriving at the oasis that serves as a prelude to the Sahara desert. At the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, we will exchange the 4×4 for camels (optional) and ride them to the camp. When we get there, we’ll get a free traditional dinner and listen to music by the campfire.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert to Fes

On your final morning, we’ll rise early to capture the sunrise over the sand dunes. From there, we can ride a camel (optional) to the settlement and have a free breakfast in a hotel. After there, we’ll stop once more on the way to Rissani and Erfoud before continuing on to Ifrane and eventually, Fes.
