4 days desert trip from Fes to Marrakech Itinerary
Day 1: We will start from Fes pass by Ifran and Midelt we will stop in Merzouga Desert
Our private Desert trip starts with a drive toward the Atlas Mountains. Where we’ll stop to visit the villages of Ifrane and have the opportunity to explore the well-known cedar forest. Which is home to the Berber apes.
Before continuing over the Atlas Mountains and soaking in the breath-blowing vistas of the Midelt landscapes along the route. We’ll have the opportunity to stop for lunch. We’ll then go via the Ziz Valley. After that, we travel on to Merzouga, where we’ll stay the night at Riad\Hotel neer dunes of Merzouga desert.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert Trip
Today, we’ll tour the area all around Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the desert. You’ll get a chance to see how nomads live and the stunning contrast of the desert. The Gnawa music will be enjoyed when we travel to the village of Khamlia. We’ll enjoy a typical Berber pizza for lunch in the historic city of Rissani. We’ll ride on camelback in the late afternoon to see the sun set over the sand dunes before spending the night in the desert trip camp. As the moon rises above the beautiful Sahara Desert. We will enjoy a classic Tagine dinner, savor some delectable local mint tea, and listen to some traditional Berber music while sitting around a camp.
Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
We’ll continuo our desert trip to see the sunrise. Then check into a for breakfast and some time to refresh up before continuing on to Ouarzazate. We’ll stop at the Berber communities and the Todra & Dades Gorge along the way. We’ll stay the night in a neighborhood hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Tizi-n-Tichk
Following breakfast, we’ll continue our journey toward Ouarzazate through the Route des Mille Kasbahs (fortresses), stopping in Kalaat Mgouna. The heart of the Valley of Roses, which is well-known for its yearly Rose Festival.
Our next stop is the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. A Unesco World Heritage site that has served as a filming location for numerous Hollywood productions. Including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the renowned HBO series Game of Thrones.
