Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

During our 8 days Morocco Tour from Tangier to Marrakech, our guide will pick you up and take you to Chefchaouen, a town built as a clandestine, secret base for battling the Portuguese on the north coast. Up until the entrance of Spanish soldiers in the region in 1920, no Europeans were allowed to enter. Arrive in Chefchaouen in the afternoon and get to know the locals. You’ll be spending the night in a hotel.

Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis:

Our 8 days Morocco tour from Tangier to Marrakech starts out with a refreshing breeze in Chefchaouen and ends with a visit to the ancient Volubilis monuments. The ruins are a remarkable picture of the various civilizations that have inhabited Morocco and are still observable in the cultural heritage of the nation. Because of its natural beauty and historical significance, it’s a fantastic area to go for a walk. Our next trip is the imperial city of Meknes, which once served as the capital of the Moroccan sultanate of Moulay Ismail. Here, you may see this significant structure and be awed by its majesty. The cultural center of Morocco and one of its oldest cities, Fes, will be our final stop. Spend the night in a hotel or a riad.

Day 3: Local guide to explore Fes city

Today will be spent touring Fes, the kingdom’s oldest city. You will instantly feel as though you have been transported to the eighth century as soon as you start walking through the confined medieval alleyways. You’ll be surrounded by spices, mint tea, fresh fruit, Berber rugs, and a variety of other artistic objects. The Qaraouine Mosque, the first university in history, will be our next trip. In the year 859, Fatima el Fihri founded it. The art museum at Batha Palace will be our next stop. Later, after passing the Nejjarine Fountain and thirteenth-century Madrasas, we’ll visit the Chouara Tanneries. Purchase a small item from the Attarine Souk. The journey continues with stops at Bab Boujloud, the King’s Palace, Mellah, and the Ibn Danan Synagogue from the seventeenth century. We’ll have dinner on a stunning high hill overlooking the city in the evening.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Valley Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert

Picking you up from your hotel or riad, we’ll travel via the Middle Atlas highlands to Ifrane and Azrou. We’ll make a pit stop along the trip to visit the barbary apes in their native environment in the cedar forests. Later, we drive to Midelt via the spectacular Ziz Gorges, which were sculpted out of volcanic rock, and through the Tizi N-Talghamt pass. As you get closer to the city of Errachidia, vistas of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the landscape shifting to offer clues of the desert will be visible.

We will carry on with our day trip from Fes through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and the Merzouga Desert after lunch. After a glass of mint tea and just before dusk, we begin the camel ride to your Desert Camp.

Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

We shall witness the dawn in the desert from the tall sand dunes in the early morning. We travel to Rissani and Erfoud after breakfast and a shower so that we might potentially visit shops and manufacturers of fossil marble.
