One of Morocco’s most beautiful cities. A Spanish-style square in the medina of Chefchaouen is flanked by a variety of hip art and craft shops, rooftop eateries, and cafes. We’ll stay the night in a local riad here in the blue city.

We will explore the Roman remains at Volubilis, and learn about this historical archeological site in Morocco. Then go to Meknes, a city with a rich history dating back to the 17th century. Where we will eat lunch, wander through the medina’s medieval walls, see the bab el mansour, and take in a visit to the Moulay Ismail mausoleum. Our trek finally brings us to Fes, where we will stay the night.
Day 3: Local guide to explore Fes city
You will begin your exploration of the oldest city in Morocco. After breakfast at your riad, by strolling through its narrow lanes with a local guide. The first stops on our tour are the Jewish neighborhood and the Royal Palace gate. Which were both constructed in the 16th century and represent Morocco’s first Mellah. The renowned Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the area, the tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum are just a few of the places we’ll make sure you visit. You will visit the cooperative for tiles after lunch, and you’ll then have a fantastic 360-degree perspective of the entire Medina of Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Valley Ziz – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
Depart for Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud after having breakfast in your accommodation. The environment will change as you drive over the intriguing Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, taking in vistas of the High Atlas plateau and giving you a sense of the desert. Along the trip, we’ll make a stop to visit the wild monkeys and eat lunch. As we approach the desert, we will zigzag our way via Erfoud and Rissani before landing at Merzouga hamlet in the late afternoon. Before you check into your accommodation in the desert, you’ll be given a glass of mint tea as a welcome. Day 6: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
The next morning, you’ll board the camel caravan once more and ride back to the hotel in the desert, where breakfast is waiting. If you’d like, spend some time taking a shower at the hotel. Rissani features a sizable souk (an open market) that is conducted three times a week and is encircled by roughly 360 ksar (a walled hamlet with several towers). This location, once known as Sijilmassa, served as the meeting point for salt caravans traveling from Timbuktu in Mali. You may find vendors selling fabric, veggies, and spices in this area.
